Stockholm (Feb. 17-19)

Our first trip outside of France, let alone Paris, was Stockholm. To be quite honest, I didn't really know much about Sweden and other Scandinavian countries, but I was really excited to venture out. Andrea also got me really excited because she had visited once and made the place sound amazing. and it was!

Friday- We left Paris at 6 am and after long metro, airplane, bus, and more metro rides we finally arrived at Andrea's Aunt's house around 4 in the afternoon. It was really tiring but we were greeted with so much delicious food and beds with clean sheets and towels waiting for us.

Saturday- Me and Andrea woke up early to try to get as many things on our list done. and we were successful!

The weather outside was snowy, but it surprisingly wasn't too bad.

Our first stop was to the Vasa Museum. We decided to be tourists along the way

footprints of the birds and ducks on the frozen water
Making Andrea do little touristy poses hah.. sadly we have no idea where she's pointing

The Vasa!
Thank you for complying heh

We then walked back and headed towards the Fotografiska Museum.

Our soggy feet

The best of friends
We ended walking on the wrong side of the road, where the snow was a lot mushier...

...luckily we made it in one piece

Because our teeth look flawless!

Then we started our trek to Gamla Stan, which was actually really close by. It is the Old Town of Stockholm, filled with lots of souvenir kitsch goodies and cute streets. This is basically where we blew all our money.

This is Andrea from my side-view + the wind. This is why I love her.

So precious no?

We walked around another area called Slussen for a little but it started to snow. On the way home we stopped by the Kista Mall and did a some shopping and bought some candy. Andrea introduced me to a new world of sweet treats.

I thought it was really strange how all the metros looked like caves.
The long escalators reminded us of a scene in "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo." We had a moment. Perhaps even took some pictures...

Bags full of candy that we basically finished that night...
