Copenhagen: Tourist Things

A day of wandering around and just being happy to be reunited.

Alexis took us to La Glace, famous for their cakes! The place was really crowded but we managed to get seats pretty easily and shoved our faces with delicious sweets. Having cake for breakfast...heaven.

Me and Andrea shared the Volmer Sørensen and the house speciality Sportskage. Right now I am looking them up on their website and am starting to semi-drool:
-Volmer Sørensen - soft nougat in whipped cream, macaroon bottom, apricot marmalade, vanilla cream, with marzipan border
-Sportskage - crushed nougat, whipped cream, macaroon bottom, and caramelized choux pastry.

what made these layer cakes so special was their macaroon bottoms. ahhhhhh~

After we walked down Strøget, the worlds longest pedestrian street

temptations along the way!

And then ended up at Nyhavn, Copenhagen's harbor. It is a nice little touristy spot known for its colorful buildings.

So happy the roommates instantly got along so well!
